I am a poet and scriptwriter, available for readings, workshops and residencies. I also make visual exhibitions, films and CD-ROMs and CDs from my writing.

For me in the beginning, it is always poetry.
Poetry is like breathing where I originate from (Pakistan). People recite it, write it, read it, watch it, without thinking about it. It is written on buses, taxis, bill boards. It fills stadiums for Mushairas (poetry festivals/gathering). It is recited in front rooms, local haunts, sometimes it replaces adverts on television.

Poetry is part of everyday life, live and kicking, it belongs to everyone.
